# Disabling and Enabling a User

An additional user management feature provided by the CoB platform is the ability to disable or enable a user account. This is useful in situations where instead of just terminating a user account, you want to temporarily switch it off. Good examples of this is when a user is suspended, or leaves the company.

Once a new user account is created, its default state is enabled. Although the State column is not shown in the default view of the users listing, you can make it visible by clicking on the down arrow located in the rightmost cell of the headings row. Next, select the State checkbox

After that, the State column will be available on the users listing.

# Disable a User account

To disable a particular user account, start by selecting the user row. Once here, click on the Disable User(s) button on the toolbar:

Once you click the button, the row representing the user's account will be grayed out, as you can see in the image below:

To re-enable a user account that has been disabled, click on the Enable User(s) button:
